Candidate should belong to one of the following caste categories:
- Scheduled Tribes (ST)

Candidate's primary state of residence should be one of the following:
- Nagaland
- Candidate's annual family income should be no more than 250000.

Candidate should be currently enrolled in an accepted or accredited institute in India.

Candidate should not have been awarded any scholarship for the current year.

Candidate should not be retaking/repeating a class.

Candidate should be enrolled in one of the following levels of education:
- Post-Matric (Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC))
- Associate
- Undergraduate
- Postgraduate
- Doctorate

- The length of the candidate's currently enrolled course should be at least 24.

Candidate should not be retaking/repeating a class.

Candidate should be enrolled in one of the following levels of education:
- Certificate (Undergradudate / Junior)
- Diploma (Undergraduate / Junior)
- Certificate (Postgradudate / Senior)
- Diploma (Postgraduate / Senior)
