IET India Scholarship Award

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is a professional engineering society. It collaborates closely with industry, academia, and government to achieve its global purpose, and it conducts a wide range of activities focused on topics such as future technologies in India. Mobility and transport in the future, as well as the future of work Honorary Fellows of the IET include Shri Ratan Tata, Former Chairman of Tata Sons; N. R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman Emeritus of Infosys; and T. V. Ramachandran, President of Broadband India Forum (Ex-Resident Director of Vodafone). The IET India Scholarship Programme is one of the largest for undergraduate engineering students.

IET India Scholarship Awards 2023 Eligibility criteria-

• Applicable students enrolled in the first, second, third, or fourth year of a full-time regular undergraduate engineering course authorized by AICTE/UGC. • Applicants must have completed all standard credit courses in a single attempt. • Applicants must have achieved at least 60% cumulatively or an equivalent CGPA of at least six (6) on a 10-point scale in the semesters they clear to date. Applications are available to all IET members and non-members, and all engineering branches are accepted. In addition, lateral entry students who begin the B.Tech degree in the second year are eligible to apply. The advantages: The chosen students will receive one of the scholarships listed below. For the regional round of choice: The grants for scholarships will be given at each of the five regional centers as follows: • INR 60,000, a certificate, and IET membership for the regional round winner. • Second place in the regional round: INR 40,000 plus a certificate and IET membership to the National Finals

The winners of the regional rounds who move on to the national finals will receive the following scholarships:

• INR 3,00,000 in prize money plus a certificate and IET membership • INR 1,70,000 plus a certificate and IET membership for the 1st runner-up. • Second-place prize: INR 1,50,000 with a certificate and IET membership A student who receives a scholarship at both: - the regional and national levels will receive a certificate for each stage and just the national level's prize money.

IET India Scholarship Award selection is a multi-step process. It will have four (4) levels, and the stages are as follows:

Level 1: A completed online application is required. An application form will serve as the basis for the initial shortlisting. Listed below is the weighting section: 60% for academics 20% from extracurricular and curricular activities 10% outreach 10% for professionals Level 2: Following application approval, candidates must take an online test. Fifty (50) multiple-choice questions covering certain integrated subjects are on the test. Level 3: The third phase of the procedure is the regional phase Assessment. The candidates need to prepare a presentation on the assigned topic in the presence of the jury following the second-level selection. Level 4: This represents the final step in the procedure. The Regional Level winners must deliver a presentation based on their ideas and solutions. A general discussion (GD) round will also be held in the fourth round when a particular subject must be presented to the jury on the last day. The IET India Scholarship Award Program is open to applicants who wish to apply online. However, first-time applicants ought to register before beginning the application procedure.
