If you have questions, we've got answers

Scholad is a scholarship matching portal for candidates looking to fund their education through recognized institutions. Candidates build their profiles which are then matched against hundreds of scholarships to find the ones he/she is eligible for.

Most scholarship search sites on the internet use generic text search engines and broad categorization to suggest all available scholarships to all candidates. Narrowing down to which scholarships to apply is left entirely up to the candidate. Scholad works differently. It employs a candidate profile matching algorithm against available scholarships depending upon eligibility criteria. Candidates are asked relevant questions and based on their answers, the scholarship matching results are progressively refined and presented. We also provide the justification for why (or why not) a candidate is eligible (or not eligible) for any scholarship. Thus, Scholad offers a more targeted and immersive experience to candidates.

Scholad is free and accessible to all. You don't need to pay anything to use it.

Follow these steps:
  1. Visit Scholad's official website and create an account
  2. Login to your account and create your profile
  3. Thereafter, complete your profile by filling in your educational milestones and answering questions targeted towards scholarship matching. Every answer you provide takes you a step further in the matching process by refining results.
  4. Once your profile is complete, you can view all matched scholarships to see which ones you're eligible for.

You can login using your Gmail, Facebook, Instagram, Azure, or GitHub credentials.

At present, Scholad only recommends scholarships that support funding of education in recognized Indian institutions only.

Anyone can create a profile with Scholad, be it an Indian candidate or an international one. But please be informed that the scholarships to which you would be matching are for Indian institutions only.

Yes. Scholad doesn't recommend all available scholarships to all candidates. It recommends scholarships tailored to an individual candidate's profile. Hence, to view the scholarships you're eligible for, you need to create an account and build your profile by answering questionnaires.

Auditors are educated members of our team who read scholarships to model them. They also create questions asked towards each modeled scholarship.

A questionnaire is a series of questions that are presented to candidates to better understand their past, present, and future. Typically, the questions in a questionnaire enquire about family background, educational history, and future goals of candidates so that the most appropriate scholarships can be sorted and matched with their profile. Every question that a candidate answers leads to a related subsequent question and goes towards further building the candidate's profile.

Scholad only makes recommendations. If, in an unexpected circumstance, you find an incorrect recommendation or assertion, you can find the option to dispute our findings on the matched Scholarships page.

The quality of results from the matching process is directly proportional to the completeness of your profile. The more details you provide, the more refined the results of the scholarship matching process will be for your profile.

A milestone is a significant step in your educational trajectory plotted across a timeline. For instance, your 12th grade marks, your graduation year, your specialization, and so on are part of a milestone.

The questions, and the sequence, asked from every candidate is dependent on his/her answers to preceding questions. For instance, questions asked to a male candidate will be different from a female candidate.
